Poland November 2006
I hope this latest Newsletter finds you all well and busy in the work of the Lord. Bro. Fuller and I just arrived back from the Czech Republic and Poland. We were there for 9 days and had great meetings. They are hungry for fellowship and we are providing this through the Apostolic World Christian Fellowship (AWCF).
For those of you who do not know Bro. David Fuller is the Director of International
Ministries and I am the Secretary of International Ministries. We are working all over the World. Last January in Javor, Poland we prayed for the wife of the Elder over the group. She had a Condition in her leg for 10 years that the doctors said was hopeless. The Lord healed her and I am glad to report that ten months later she is still healed. Her husband had grown cold in the Lord over the years and he was renewed in our meeting and passed away about 2 weeks after our visit, ready and happy to meet the Lord.
On this trip we visited most of the same churches that we were at last time. But this was our first trip to the Czech Republic In the City of Hradec Kralove a city of about 120,000 souls. We felt foreboding in our spirit about proceeding on to the town of Elk on the Russian Border and then we were going on into Lituania, but the Lord forbid it on this trip and when we arrived back in the U.S.A. no less than three individuals told me that they felt that we were in danger this was at about the same time we were praying about whether we should go or not. God protects us.
There is so much more to tell but I don’t want to give you too much to read. I will visit many of you in your church.
I have one request to make of those of you that feel led. I have been invited to preach in the Dominican Republic on Dec 7-13. As you may know , on these overseas trips we have no income to support our families. All of my trips have been paid for so far by supporters as well as me going and preaching to raise the funds. So I am making an appeal to you as you feel led to help me with the Dominican Republic trip. I need to raise $1,400.00 for this trip. Be assured that I travel at the most reasonable rated that I can.
We travel in the off season and travel in economy class which has given me incentive to lose some weight. This is a good thing. Please send the donations to the address above. I thank you in advance for your contribution. The bible says “you have not because you ask not” Every trip that I have promoted and raised funds for I have taken and seen God do great things.
Please consider becoming a monthly partner with me by visiting my website at sonnycathey.org and under visitors center you will find a partner pledge form. Most of you know my ministry and burden for souls. It is not easy leaving my family but it is a mandate from God for my life. Maybe you can’t go but you can send me to represent you. Everywhere we go we bring broken congregations together and bring them back into fellowship and we work with over 200 organizations that are under the umbrella of the AWCF. We are not taking away from the good work they are doing , we are joining with them.
I also had the privilege of singing to over 200 college and high school students in a catholic school in Poland and all the next day in the streets of Legnica, Poland groups of students would yell “Dobre, Dobre” this means good, good. Finally I realized that they were talking to me when one of the girls said “ will you come sing for us again?” This makes all my efforts worth it.
