" Grief is Grief no matter where you live "

April 30, 2006

It seems that every few days we hear of a natural disaster. I am sensing in my spirit
that the Lord is doing something in this world.

The earth is groaning under the weight of sin. The commission that Jesus gave us was to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. Every soul is precious in his sight.
From time to time we stand at the graveside of a loved one, or a co-worker and feel different levels of grief. The level of grief that we feel is commensurate to the closeness that we had with the individual. Yet all over the world as someone goes out into eternity there are usually a large number of people left on earth to feel the great overwhelming grief just like we feel it in America. The pain is no less intense.

In prayer this morning I began to pray for the world and my mind went to those around the world that have never had a bed to sleep in or a decent meal. We have been so blessed in America and I do not apologize for that today, nor do I write this Missions Report today to make you feel any regret about the blessings of God in your life. Someone said “ No one deserves to hear the Gospel twice until all men have heard it once”.

I am dealing with people from all over the world and get request for bibles, funds and Prayers.

Recently I was dealing with a man from Kenya and he said his wife was in the hospital, she had just lost twins at childbirth and because they did not have the funds to pay her hospital bill they would keep her until it was paid. His wife and he were in deep grief. I told him that I was not rich and could not send him the funds however God was able to deliver him. I received an email just the other day and he informed me that the hospital came to his house and released him totally from his indebtedness and released his wife. He said this had never been done in his country, it was truly a miracle. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness. This man had recently been a devil worshipper and came across our AWCF Website and prayed for salvation and now we are leading him into the knowledge of God.

In closing I believe that grief does not have the power to overwhelm those that know that their loved one is saved and that they are in heaven. II Cor 5:8 says that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord.

Let’s continue to support missions and know that every soul that we reach or help others to reach around the world will not grieve as those that have no hope. The grief will not overwhelm them because someone told them about a God that cares and is able to keep their loved one in his safety.

God Bless You ,
Bro. Sonny Cathey.
